COMPLETED - Sunday Football at Damon’s Bar and Grill

Starts: Sun Nov 25, 2007 at 12:30 PM
Ends: Sun Nov 25, 2007 at 05:00 AM
Location: Damon’s Bar and Grill GMU Campus

The Gamma Xi chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma would like to invite all Gamma Xi Alumni, active brother hood, and new members out to Sunday Football at Damon’s Bar and Grill.  This event will be a meet and greet for the Alumni, Active brother hood and new members.
We have 15 new members as of today November 1, 2007 and we are stressing that a connection with Alumni is a key ingredient in brotherhood.  Not only can you as Alumni give them advice for the fraternity, but also with life in general.
Event info: November 25, 2007, start time is 12:30pm.  Please feel free to bring your significant others and kids.  The chapter will buy finger food for the event, drinks you must pay for yourselves, sorry.  (Redskins at Tampa Bay @ 1:00pm).
Here is a small update for you as well.  We started this semester with 19 active brothers and were able to give out 19 bids.  18 of them accepted but 3 have left because of personal reasons.  We have done several fundraisers in the past month.  First there was a security job that brothers and new members attended over night, estimated fundraise about $500.00.  Secondly, we got about 60 to 70 people out for an environmental group at the JC Cinema.  This could possibly bring us $1000.00 at the beginning of next semester.  For this event we listened to several people talk about saving the environment and how to cut down on bad habits that hurt the environment.  Lastly we are in the mist of a 50 /50 raffle, which has given us $ 120.00 and it doesn’t end til Friday November 2, 2007.  We also will be working the Fall Out Boy Concert on November 11, 2007.
As the current Xi, I have had us register for flag football and indoor soccer.  The current Pi has three to four study sessions a week, where new members need to attend at least one and stay the whole time.  As you know there are always some people who do not pay dues.  As a result this semester they have lost the right to vote, play intramural sports, must forfeit their office and can not run for an office and will be charged a 10% late penalty.

Thanks for your time and hope to see you out at Damon’s on November 25, 2007 at 12:30pm.
